A couple things to ponder:
This "vehicle" is posted at the edge of Teslin, YT to slow down travelers. It was done by the town's school kids and it is very efficient. Painted on both sides of a piece of wood!
In an attempt to avoid the language barrier, many of Canada's signs are pictographs. The meaning of some are obvious
Even if you don't recognize the antlers as being caribou, you know to slow down
This one took me a second to figure out but it, eventually, tells the story
This one either means there are trucks speeding down the highway or a turtle with an acne-riddled shell just farted
This one is obvious - NBA crossing, no more than 30 players in the street at a time!
It seems that everyone is having an anniversary this year. Canada and their parks are celebrating 150 years, the AlCan highway is celebrating its 75th anniversary (with specially decorated pot holes), and, as the sign above tells us, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are celebrating 100 years. The sign says 125, but remember, they're on the metric system.
Here's a rare sighting - a Canadian air conditioner
and finally, Honeywell calls this a thermostat. In the bottom left is a lever that can be pushed to the right, presumably to turn the heat on. But the little white line in the window is not adjustable, it simply reports what the temperature is. In the US we call that a thermometer!

I would like to park the police car sign in my front yard to get the traffic on Eastgate to slow down! Excellent interpretation of the 30 NBA players max sign! For the caribou silhouette, I like to imagine the great radio and TV reception that those antlers could pull in...
