Dear Die'ry

Day 6 - Good news. I found fresh tracks near the snare I fashioned outta the willow branches. May have fresh meat by week's end.
I must be losin' my mind. I was sure I put the ax back in my chopping block when I finished splitting the fire wood but, when I returned from the creek with my drinkin' water it was leanin' up 'ginst the back of the cabin. And I coulda sweared I heard them duelin' banjoes agin last night 'bout dark. Ain't seen no one round here noway.
Speakin' of the creek water, good news is I ain't got nothin' left in me to squirt, so the diarrhea should be bout over with.
Fashioned a dugout kayak outta some log I found what was red. Thought I'd explore downstream a piece.

I've got two crackers left so I'm debating whether dinner will be a mosquito sandwich or if I should stretch 'em by makin' soup with the mosquitos then have the crackers for dessert.
I try to sleep as much as possible but every time I close my eyes I see Kathy Bates standing at the foot of the bed with a hammer, and Steven King sittin' in the chair takin' notes.

I finally checked the contents of the cabin. There is a book titled "Cheating Death, survival stories from Alaska and a few select cabins in British Columbia", an "Outdoor Life" magazine with a guy on the cover holding a shot gun to the head of a Fish and Game officer, and a Scrabble Game without a board. All of the letters are in a handmade otter-skin bag except four. The L, E, P and H. That's strange.
Gotta go split some more firewood. It's the Fourth of July and the creeks bound to freeze over in another couple weeks. All for now. If you see the grid anywhere, tell it I said Hi with my last dying breath.
